• Harsher in Hindsight: The scenes between Ashley and Agnetha & Frida during Ashley's dream sequence, in which he fantasized them seductively coming onto him, can be very uncomfortable to watch after Ashley's actor Robert Hughes was accused of having molested a child actress on the set of the Australian sitcom Hey Dad..!, in which he starred in (said child actress playing his character's daughter on the show). In 2014 he was convicted of sexual abuse and sentenced to 10 years. The part about the victim being a child can also make the scene where Ashley interviews a ballet class full of little girls wince-inducing.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: The music video for "The Name of the Game" is one of the videos that make it clear that the band was composed by two romantic couples. In the film, the song is used for the extended fantasy scene in which Ashley dreams that Agnetha and Frida fall in love with him, while Benny and Björn just stand there and watch.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • "What does kinky mean?"^Explanation A line spoken by Benny in the movie, used whenever someone says "kinky" for whatever reason.
  • "How can I answer to that. I do not know, I haven't seen it!"^Explanation Agnetha's response to Greg Evans's question about the comments about her bottom.
