The twenty-eighth Peanuts TV special, Snoopy's Getting Married, Charlie Brown originally aired on CBS on March 20, 1985.
In this special, Snoopy guards Peppermint Patty's house while her father is away. However, Snoopy gets sidetracked when he sees two eyes peeking from in a bush. Snoopy follows the beautiful eyes and disappears into the night. When he returns the next day, he reveals the eyes in the bush belonged to a beautiful dog named Genevieve. And through a letter to his brother Spike, Snoopy announces that he is getting married to Genevieve. This comes as a great shock to Charlie Brown and his friends.
Snoopy's Getting Married, Charlie Brown contains examples of:

- Named In The Adaptation: In the comic, Snoopy's fiancée was unnamed whilst in the special, her name is revealed as Genevieve.
- Runaway Bride: Snoopy is all set to get married to a dog named Genevieve when Lucy soon arrives with news that the bride-to-be has just run off with a golden retriever.
- Wedding Episode: The special's centered on the gang getting Snoopy all set to get married to Genevieve.
