Little Go Beep is a 2000 Looney Tunes short directed by Spike Brandt, featuring Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner.

Baby Wile E. Coyote is told by his father, Cage E. Coyote, that he's not allowed to speak until he proves himself by catching a roadrunner. Throughout the episode, Wile E. has his first-ever chase with baby Road Runner. By the end of the short, Cage E. claims that his son won't be talking for a long time.

Tropes

  • Binomium ridiculus: Poor schnookius for Wile E. and Morselus babyfatus tastius for the Road Runner.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: Wile E. uses a badger trap to catch Roadrunner, having crossed out the word "badger" and written "roadrunner", and it works...at catching a badger.
  • Passing the Torch: Cage E. says this when he tells Wile E. that it's his turn to hunt down the roadrunner.
  • The Reveal: It's revealed in this short why Wile E. Coyote doesn't talk, which is weird because he talks in the shorts he appears in with Bugs Bunny, with the exception of "Hare-Breadth Hurry".
  • Trapped the Wrong Target: Wile E. should know that crossing out "Badger" on an Acme Badger Trap and writing "Roadrunner" over it does not automatically change it into a roadrunner trap...
  • Unnamed Parent: Averted. Though not verbally stated, we learn Cage E.'s name from the mailbox outside his and Wile E.'s home as well as the trophies he has won in the past.
