"Greedy for Tweety" is a Looney Tunes cartoon short featuring Sylvester, Tweety, Hector and Granny. The short was released on September 28, 1957.

The short follows Hector, Sylvester and Tweety chasing each other on the street (Hector chasing Sylvester, and Sylvester chasing Tweety, respectively), then being sent to the hospital after being injured by passing cars. Under the care of Nurse Granny after their injuries, only the innocent Tweety tries to get some rest while Sylvester continues to try to eat him, all the while being harassed by Hector.

"Greedy for Tweety" provides examples of:

  • Big "SHUT UP!": Sylvester delivers the traditional "Aaah, shaddup!" while whacking Hector's cast with his cane, which attracts Nurse Granny's attention, at which point before Sylvester could get to Tweety, he rushes back to bed before he is caught by Granny.
  • Funny X-Ray: Granny walks in to find Tweety’s cage empty. She grabs Sylvester and takes him to the X-ray machine. The plaque confirms her worst fear, as it shows Tweety’s skeleton inside Sylvester. One trip to the ER later, and Tweety is back in his cage, while Sylvester sports a bandage on his belly.
  • Here We Go Again!: Granny releases Tweety, Sylvester and Hector after reports show nothing is wrong with either of them, but when she sees them chasing each other on the streets again, the outcome is pretty self-explanatory.
    Granny: Que Sera, Sera.
  • Impairment Shot: After Granny gives Sylvester sedative to put him to sleep, he struggles to stay awake lest Hector get up and give him a beating. From his point of view, we see Sylvester’s eyes closing and opening, with Hector coming closer each time, until he’s standing in front of him with a club in his hands. The eyes close one last time, followed by a Hit Flash.
  • Offscreen Crash: How the accident that puts Sylvester, Tweety and Hector in the hospital is presented. The three are running through traffic, then offscreen. Then there’s the sound of screeching tires, followed by a crash.
  • Overly-Nervous Flop Sweat: When Hector and Sylvester are strapped to hospital beds, Sylvester drills a hole in Hector's foot cast and drops a stick of dynamite inside, with shots of Hector perspiring increasingly as the process continues.
  • Swallowed Whole: In a scene that predates The Ant and the Aardvark's episode "From Bed to Worse", as Sylvester is approaching Tweety from behind, he hears Granny's voice before hustling back to bed, but with one difference: when Granny gets to his room, she sees Tweety's bed empty, followed by Sylvester hiccuping out the yellow feathers. In a panic, she takes him to the x-ray room, where a Funny X-Ray shows that Sylvester has swallowed him whole (of course, we don't see him in the action unlike in the 1971 episode), and it takes a trip to the ER to rescue Tweety from the cat's stomach like a Distressed Dude.
