The story follows Klonoa, once again called to the dream world by his old friend Huepow. This time, Huepow needs Klonoa's help to defeat Tenebrae Hue, a mysterious, armor-clad lion who leads an army of creatures called Nighty-Knights. Tenebrae Hue has a plan to use the magical star Noctis Sol to summon creatures from many different dream worlds for an unknown purpose. In his efforts to stop Hue, Klonoa travels across dream worlds and meets some old friends, along with new enemies.
Sadly, Dream Traveler of Noctis Sol was Cut Short due to ShiftyLook shutting down before it could conclude. Good news is both the artist and writer have expressed interest in finishing the comic when Namco-Bandai gives them a chance, so not all hope is lost for the comic. There is also a high-quality Fan Sequel known as Klonoa: Dream Crusaders that picks up right where the original comic leaves off, giving its own interpretation of what happens next utilizing both additional Klonoa characters across several games and a few of its own.
The webcomic contains examples of the following tropes:
- Big Bad: Tenebrae Hue. A tall imposing lion man with mysterious and malevolent goals.
- No Ending: The comic abruptly ended right before what looked like Klonoa's big climactic battle, due to the site it was hosted on getting shut down. There are no revealed plans as to what will become of it as of yet, so it's currently this.
- Voice of the Legion: While not an evil character, Noctis Sol is implied to speak this way (since it's a living star).
