Transformers Unofficial by Fanatic Films is an independently made continuation of the original The Transformers cartoon series made by Sunbow Entertainment, picking up right where the last episode "The Rebirth, Part 3"
left off. This mini series was created to demonstrate to Hasbro that a small independent film studio can produce a product of comparable quality to the original on a limited budget. It is hoped that the project can generate enough interest that Hasbro will consider an official online web series continuation of the G1 cartoon.
The series launched on May 1st 2014 with "The Redux, Part 1" and continued until December 10th 2016 with "Pretender To The Throne, Part 1", before taking a five year break. It resumed on 20th of August 2022 with the second instalment of this story.
