Nwain: The Knight Who Wandered Dream
is a long-form animated webcomic about Nwain, a Knight Errant, and her travels in the world of Dream. She is accompanied by her trusty steed, Shade, a wolf-antelope.
The comic started in 2013, and is created by Terrana Cliff, rillani.
Tropes present in this work:
- Cool Mask: Nwain's signature owlish mask.
- Fish out of Temporal Water: Nwain is displaced 200 years forward in time.
- Medieval Stasis: The only significant advance over 200 years is Nwain's favorite chess gambit being declared illegal.
- Robot Wizard: The Wizard is quite literally this, and looks like a mechanical version of a stereotypical "Arabian Nights" Days sorceror. Heavy emphasis on the "robot" part-it doesn't even have a gender.
