• If you're in possession of a priceless heirloom that could help your somewhat middle-class family make it big, fuck that and dump that bitch in the middle of the ocean for a dude you knew for a week.
• All rich people are dicks or clueless unless they made their money from the bottom up, in which case they're fucking hilarious and a good time to be around.
• Any safety regulation that could even save half of those you are in the hands of can still be fucked up to darkly comical and tragic degrees.
• Posing nude for someone you only recently met is not awkward in the slightest, nor is having sex with them a matter of minutes later.
• Allowing a man to hit your daughter is perfectly reasonable if that man will keep you in money. If you are the daughter, you had better learn to put up with it, because that's life for a high-class woman. He'd probably do it less if you didn't provoke him, you know.
• Using a loaded pistol to chase the woman who dumped you for someone poorer is the right course of action even if you are risking collateral damage on a ship that is already sinking.
