There’s no evidence that “Palladium Oracle Mahad” was in Yugi’s Deck before Atem appeared and drew it, and it’s rather interesting how its effect of doubling its ATK when battling a DARK monster makes it exactly what he needed to draw to beat Aigami. It should go without saying that Atem is more than powerful enough as a Duelist to not only perform a Shining Draw, but to be able to create the card he draws. Yugi flashing a couple of times as Atem prepares to draw the card invokes the parallels between their union and that of Yuma and Astral's Zexal. The card also glows as Atem draws it, in a way very reminiscent of how they do when characters perform Shining Draws in Anime/YuGiOhZexal.

Regular Yugi flashing a couple of times as Atem readies to draw the card invokes the parallels between their union and that of Yuma and Astral's Zexal. The card also glows as Atem draws it, in a way very reminiscent of how they do when characters perform Shining Draws in Anime/YuGiOhZexal.

** Indeed, the images and designs that have been shown (his serious expressions, art of what seems to be [[spoiler:him wearing the trademark CoatCape]]) hint a lot at Yugi being NotSoDifferent from Atem.

The film is coming out while Arc V is airing and [[spoiler: its name, "The Dark Side of Dimensions", could tie into the alternate dimension plot of the latter]].
* Hinted at, since Kaiba's newest revealed monster is "Blue-Eyes Alternate White Dragon", seemingly tying into the ARC-V idea of dimensional alternates.
** Or the name Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon comes from the fact that it's based on the alternative design of [=BEWD=] that will be featured in the movie.
*** Either way having [[spoiler: a movie that sounds like it will have an alternate dimension and an anime with an alternate dimensions plot]] coming out at the same time, especially since ARC V has been a giant tribute to the entire franchise, seems pretty fishy to me. Even if one is manga verse and the other anime...still fishy.
* Jossed. Nothing in the movie relates to Arc-V.

What with missing so much of it, they all had to repeat a school grade to get back on track. Otherwise they should probably be in college by now, if they finished the series around age 16.

* Since this seems to follow the ''manga'' continuity, however, they only missed from a few days to little more than a week total [[note]]Duelist Kingdom lasted a few days, Battle City only lasted two or three, Millennium World shouldn't have been more than a day, the trip to Egypt probably lasted a week at most [[/note]], and at least one arc occurred while they had the week off, or something. And even if they did have to repeat a grade, the movie takes place only 6 ''months'' after the end of the manga. They'd still be in their last or second to last year at school.

This is mostly for fanon and StatusQuoIsGod reasons, since while it would make Kaiba look stronger and imply he had finally conquered the demons that stopped him winning, it would probably hurt Yugi's original character arc of becoming a strong duelist if he were to lose to Kaiba, the one person Atem routinely and constantly beat, so soon after becoming another person to hold the title King of Games.
* [[spoiler: Confirmed. Yugi attacks Kaiba for 2500 damage, but his LP counter stops at 100. Aigami interrupts before it can conclude.]]

This will be used to give Kaiba some reason to sympathise with the villain, and help [[DefeatMeansFriendship redeem him at the end.]]

There is a "Blue-Eyes" Synchro monster https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Blue-Eyes_Spirit_Dragon with an effect that prevents multiple monsters from being Special summoned at the same time suggesting that Kaiba will Synchro summon against someone that uses Pendulm summons.
* Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon and the other "Blue-Eyes"-related cards from the Shining Victories booster pack are most likely unrelated to the movie.

Why else would he be wearing something other than his school uniform in the second trailer?

[[WMG: Kaiba and Yuugi will duel for the completion of the puzzle]]
The puzzle can only be completed by the one who's worthy, in other words, Yuugi. From the manga, we know that anyone else other than him who tries will go insane, as it happened with Otogi's/Duke's father. In the trailers so far, however, we see Seto Kaiba managed to nearly assemble it save for one piece, perhaps with the use of some crazy software, and come out unscathed (this might have contributed to his SanitySlippage though).

Aigami, however, was the one who stole the piece and delivered it to Yuugi before the puzzle was completed. Kaiba finds out and demands Yuugi complete the puzzle, since he's the one who's worthy, if Yuugi puts the last piece of the puzzle, [[ExactWords technically, he would be the one to complete it]] and no one would go crazy (and whatever magic Kaiba had expected would probably work). Yuugi refuses of course, and thus they duel to decide what will happen with the last piece...
* [[spoiler:Confirmed AND jossed. Kaiba ''tries'' to do this but Yugi intends to duel Aigami first, as Aigami has one piece and Yugi has the other. He completes the Puzzle during his duel with Kaiba, showing Kaiba that completing it is meaningless as Atem has already passed on]].

Confirmed. [=LittleKuriboh=] confirmed it at Kami-Con 2017. However, he says it will come out ''after'' he finishes the series. So we're gonna have to wait a ''loooooooong'' time.

4Kids (now 4KMedia) and the dub voice actors are fans of YuGiOhTheAbridgedSeries. The Kudaragi gang is voiced by prominent comedians in the Japanese version and LK could be a logical English counterpart, especially since he now does some professional voice work and 4Kids once expressed interest in working with him.
