- Sam has a bad habit of ruining relationships with other characters such as Silly, Okami, Chan and Pepe. Grian and Taurtis either stay with him because of his manipulative behavior or his psychosis.
Sam is a platonic Yandere for Taurtis.
- He literally goes insane when Taurtis disappears in YHS. To cope with his instability and the guilt he felt for stabbing him, he forces Grian to act like Taurtis and wear his clothing.
