The first pre-release teaser picture that showed all other PriMagi stars sides Matsuri as silhouettes referred to them as "rivals", and the show seems to be dead-set on keeping it like that, as one episode has Chimumu mentioning how the entertainment business is an eat or be eaten world. Not to mention, it's been 8 episodes and all concerts have been solos, even though usually a Pretty Series' first episode concert would be a duo,note , which makes it very likely that this show will be every idol on their own.

In episode 21, when asked about her partner, Jennifer said that she is "somewhere else", and at her concert, there's no one in her partner's drone, and Meganee says the spell instead. While you could think that they just separated normally, what Achihiko says to Jennifer at the end of the episode definitely hints at something: he promises her that he'll "fight those who took Ruhme away from her". Ruhme, Jennifer's former PriMagi partner, has passed, and likely by the hands of someone, too, and this affected Jennifer's motivation to be on PriMagi. To add to this, the voice speaking to Matsuri telling her to "save Jennifer" is Ruhme's spirit, who wants Jennifer to be safe from, well, whatever is after her, if it isn't the already shady Omega Corporation.
