WMG / The Turner Diaries

Go To

The whole novel is in-universe propaganda for the Neo-Nazis.
Considering how unrealistic the book is at every turn (the Cohen Act, the part where the Neo-Nazis take over the missile silo, the scene where he Neo-Nazis are stealing from a US military installation, the battle of LA, and so many other things), it seems far more likely that The Turner Diaries is a propaganda novel written 100 years after a nuclear war. The Order, being a self proclaimed guerrilla movement and therefore likely to be hardcore survivalists, survived the nuclear war in bunkers along rural areas, and went on their campaign of murder post-war. The "Chinese problem" and "African problem" getting solved and the destruction of Israel had little to nothing to do with the Order's actions; the China was nuked by the Soviets (although both communist, they hated each other), Africa was devastated by a Neo-Nazi South Africa which had nukes during the apartheid era (in addition to local conflicts, disease, famine, and climate change from World War III), and Israel fought a nuclear war with possibly a nuclear Iraq, Iran or Syria.

The whole novel is secretly satire.
It's just that ridiculous and unrealistic, but it sadly inspired people to do stupid stuff in real life.
  • Nope. As stated on the main page, the author was pleased during 9/11, as he, like al-Qaeda itself, feels that the Jewish-sympathetic American government had it coming. So either he was extremely dedicated to maintaining the façade or he was completely serious in his beliefs.

The white people are all Mary Sue clones.
How else are they able to accomplish so much?
  • Or alternatively, they're a Draka strain. Racist, genocidal, effortlessly crush all their opponents, completely unscrupulous..

The nuclear war in the novel is the Time of Fire described in Lord of the Swastika.
It just fits, doesn't it?

Earl Turner is a moron who fails at everything he tries
The story is just Earl Turner's fantasy while he rots in some asylum. In reality, all his terrorist schemes went disastrously wrong and he was locked up on insanity.
