Everything inside and outside Foster's changed the second Marie was created. It would explain why everyone is acting completely OOC and dressing like "goffs" or "preps," why they're all having sex with each other, cutting themselves, and the like.Marie didn't end up at Foster's to find work, she was there because her original creator ditched her for whatever reason. Her dark, trouble past is just part of her imaginary "goffick" make-up. Marie's abusive dad is also an imaginary friend.
