WMG / Prehistoric Predators

Had the series had additional episodes, there would be episodes on...
The series showed a preference for fossil predators found in the United States, so...
  • Likely another trio of episodes showing three predators inhabiting the same ecosystem, maybe the Early Eocene Willwood Formation, not long after the K-Pg extinction; the large mesonychid Pachyaena, the lynx-sized creodont Oxyaena, and the giant flightless Gastornis. Unfortunately, the last one would have become horribly dated. The former two could have also included Mesonyx and Patriofelis in the second half of the episode respectively. The terrestrial crocodile Pristichampsus vorax (now Boverisuchus vorax) could have also been included either in a secondary role or even its own subject epiaode.
  • Basilosaurus, based on the fossils found in North America.
    • Potential episode title: Mega-Whale
  • Pterosphenus, a giant marine snake from the same time as Basilosaurus (the Paleogene).
    • Potential episode title: Sea Serpent
  • Any member of the Borophagids, the bonecrusher dogs. Most likely it would be the giant Epicyon, the largest canid ever.
    • Potential episode title: Bonecrusher
  • The giant raptor found at La Brea Teratornis, demonstrated to both hunt live prey on the ground and scavenge based off previous theories and live raptor behaviour.
  • The American Lion, seen in brief in one episode.
  • The Palaeo-Indians, with focus on their tools and tactics of hunting and whether they caused the extinction of Megafauna.
    • Potential episode title: Giant Hunters
  • Extinct breed of dogs domesticated by Palaeo-Indians.
    • Potential episode title: Lost Dogs

Further seasons would expand to the Mesozoic and Palaeozoic eras
Whether they'd focus on dinosaurs too is up for grabs.

  • The permian Helicoprion
  • Dimetrodon
  • The crocodilian Postosuchus, actually presented as a fast and active hunter unlike in Walking with Dinosaurs.
  • The Phytosaur Smilosuchus, the largest creature let alone predator in the Chinle.
  • Eother one of the giant Triassic icthyosaurs Shonisaurus or Cymbospondylus.
  • Utahraptor.
  • The Late Cretaceous theropod Dryptosaurus from the eastern US, with the episode focusing on the differences between it and its contemporary T. rex.
  • Quetzalcoatlus: They had Pterosaurs in one intro.
