The Arsonist is planning on killing The Firefighter.
There are three things that I think point to it.- He just went on a huge spiel trying to justify eugenics, and just so happened to bring up his “daughter” and how "she" is. He even ended the conversation by saying “Human history is that of sacrifice. And I think it’s naive to assume that we can create a society that lasts for a thousand years without sacrificing a few p... a few things.”
- It’s the subtitles during this point that really sells it. There’s “Chopin lingers on the precipice, like a man planning to murder his own son” and “Chopin relaxes, like a man realizing that he’s killed before after all, so how different will it be this time?”
- He then asks for a match, and from which we all know at this point that it means he’s gonna burn someone.
Whether this will be shown in a future episode, who knows, maybe not. Would still be quite epic.
