[[WMG: [[KingdomHearts Namine]] is responsible for no one recognizing the imported player character in Portable 2]]
Considering all the talk about heart at the end of Portable 1, it wouldn't be surprising if the universe temporarily became part of the KingdomHearts universe, just long enough for Namine to accidentally mess things up

One worldship went on to found the Pioneer project, which found Ragol in the original ''VideoGame/PhantasyStarOnline''. The other found the Guhral star system, then became the subject of a civil war between humans and the ArtificialHumans they created in the events of ''PhantasyStarUniverse''. A third went on to found the Oracle Fleet and Arks in ''VideoGame/PhantasyStarOnline2''.

[[WMG: Rolf had a brother or a sister, who is Chaz's ancestor]]
Rolf & Chaz look very similar, and even wear the same style of body armor as well as share a wardrobe. Maybe Rolf's brother/sister who resembled him were locked up for speaking out against Mother Brain, or he had long lost siblings. Or he had a son that he didn't know about.
