There'll be a crossover episode with the Saved by the Bell reboot.
Since this series centers on a fictional Mayor of Los Angeles and the other features a fictional Governor of California the synergy is there. Add in that despite being at least a full generation apart themselves they both have teenage kids (and the governor's lives and attends school in LA instead of Sacramento for some reason)...- With both series cancelled after two seasons, that is not likely to happen.
The series is a Stealth Sequel to The Good Place.
