Hey, considering how well ''Hyrule Warriors'' is doing, it wouldn't be far-fetched for the devs to consider doing a ''Franchise/FireEmblem''-themed game next, and Marth would be a good proof-of-concept. Just like in ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'', he would do more damage with the tip of his blade, making him a [[DifficultButAwesome very technical but powerful fighter]] well-suited to [[DuelBoss one-on-one fights]]. He would have a full complement of weapons including both his own and the ''[[VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening Awakening]]''-era Falchion, along with some other famous FE swords like [[VideoGame/FireEmblemGenealogyOfTheHolyWar Tyrfing, Mystletainn]], [[VideoGame/FireEmblemTheBlazingBlade Mani Katti, the Sword of Seals]] or [[VideoGame/FireEmblemTellius Ragnell]], and top it off with [[JokeItem an 8-bit Iron Sword]] from the NES version of ''Shadow Dragon''.

Loads And Loads Of Characters is no longer a trope

Since the ''VideoGame/DynastyWarriors'' series is known for its LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters, having ''Hyrule Warriors'' focus solely on Link would be weird, as would having Link readily available together with other characters. So, maybe Link will be some sort of unlockable character, and we'll be introduced to a series of interesting other playable characters, from many of the races that populate the series' lore. Link is shown exclusively in the trailer only for his iconic status.

[[WMG: Skull Kid stole Majora's Mask again]]
Linkle's first mission takes place shortly after Hyrule Castle was attacked, and before anyone combined any timelines. From this, we can conclude that she is from the same time as this game's Link, Impa, Zelda... and because of that first mission, also Skull Kid, who we see is still with Tatl and Tael and has the mask. However, we can deduce from the beginning of the ''Ocarina of Time'' plot branch that the main characters' time is well after that of ''Ocarina'', as Sheik has heard of Ruto in a historical sense.

This only makes sense if this story takes place well after ''Majora's Mask'', but Skull Kid and his fairy friends are still around (they're long-lived, after all) and they came across the mask again at some point. However, it's still very likely that the mask was indeed depowered at the end of that game, considering Skull Kid is using it for fairy pranks and never regional catastrophe. Indeed, even his moon summon has been toned down significantly. (Young Link's take does not count here, as he is explicitly a non-Legend Mode character and hails from ''Majora's Mask'' itself.)

This may also suggest that the main ''Hyrule Warriors'' events take place before ''Twilight Princess'', as Skull Kid's appearance and personality shift much more at that point and the fairies are no longer with him.

[[WMG: Hyrule Warriors is an in-universe fanfiction]]
Around the time of the First Calamity, some girl named Cia makes a fanfiction out of all the past/parallel events in the timeline. This explains why it's so fanfiction-y, because it *is* a fanfiction.

* The Link Amiibo unlocks the Spinner weapon, but other than that, Amiibo of characters simply give you a really nice weapon for that character (with non-Zelda Amiibo just giving you random presents). The Legends Amiibo trailer looks like it will allow the Toon Link Amiibo to get you Toon Link weapons (pre-Legends, it was considered the same as the Link Amiibo) and the Wolf Link Amiibo will give you Midna weapons. Other than that, Amiibo in Legends will work the same.

[[WMG: Zant is a {{Chuunibyou}}]]
The reason he acted so much more stoic and arrogant before his VillainousBreakdown in his [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTwilightPrincess]] wasn't because that was his real personality unless pushed to the breaking point. His chaotic LaughingMad flailing is more in line with his true self. He was just pretending to be way cooler than he really was because he had his "dark god" Ganondorf giving him ResurrectiveImmortality and more powerful magic. As such, his "middle schooler syndrome" kicked in and he started acting like how he thought a "cool villain" would. Here, he doesn't have the powers Ganondorf gave him due to being taken out of his own timeline, and so falls back on his usual methods and personality.

''Hyrule Historia'' revealed that [[spoiler:the Hero's Shade]] in ''Twilight Princess'' is the soul of [[the Hero of Time,]] a hero that came before that game's Link, meaning that the souls of two heroes exist simultaneously. ''Spirit Tracks'' has Niko talk about Link and Tetra from ''The Wind Waker'' and ''Spirit Tracks'' but doesn't seem to imply that they've died. There's also a strong hint that the old man in Kakariko Village in ''A Link Between Worlds'' is [[''A Link to the Past'''s Link,]] another hero existing alongside the player character. Since it is specifically mentioned that ''every'' Link is born with the Spirit of the Hero, this means more than one can ''and have'' lived at the same time before, once for absolute certain.

certain. The Spirit, therefore, seems like a quality someone can have rather than referring to the literal living soul of an individual.
