Everything on the island is a Tsukumogami and therefore, at least 100 years old.

Both Dr. Blinky and Witchiepoo are the only characters to live inside living buildings and to own living objects that are not people the both even have spell books that are brothers. Also, owls are often associated with witchcraft and magic. In fact the Kroft Supershow has a segment called "Horror Hotel" where dr. Blinky is one of the Witch's henchmen.
