throughout the series the scout is shown using the spies revolver, if he uses the revolver, what’s not to say he took some other devises from the spy, such as... the dead ringer. In the final battle, the scouts body, controlled by the helmet(?) uses the dead ringer to make the pyro think he’s dead, then killed the pyro, and put on his suit, this is why he allows the engineers to live when he sees him breathing, and why he kills the red demo, with his trademark revolver no less.
