Or perhaps he found his great battle against Rock Howard in the previous tournament and died from his injuries, satisfied that he faced a worthy opponent and that longtime friend Kain would be in good hands with his nephew.Kyokugen BBQ exists in the Fatal Fury/Art of Fighting universe.
Just because Fatal Fury and KOF exist in separate universes, doesn't mean that some AOF-related KOF elements can't be considered canon. Perhaps, in the time stretch between AOF 3 and Garou, Kyokugen BBQ was established since Takuma's retirement, while Ryo takes up his father's role as the new Mr. Karate (as seen in KOF XV). Nightmare Geese will be a Superboss or True Final Boss
The original Nightmare Geese fight in Real Bout Fatal Fury Special was explicitly a "Nightmare" fight because Geese was dead. Now, RBFFS was a Dream Match Game, but if City of the Wolves is the last Fatal Fury game then lets go out with one last DEADLY RAVE!
