The Aged Man is the prophet of a prior cycle.
- He knows about the cycle, about the high ones, and is practically immortal, due to being Fleshless. He may have ridden out the cleansing in the same or similar way as the prophet does in the Brave New World ending. The Woman in the Water in his manor may be his companion, the counterpart to Jespar/Calia, who did not have the same immortality he does. He may have found a way to prolong her consciousness even as her body decayed. His secret code is "PRIDE WAS MY FALL," which refers to the dying wish that made him Fleshless.
