- Rather than avoiding getting caught, the rest of the class realizes she was lying, causing a cascade of events that leads to her being expelled. After she got expelled and moved to another country, the class then vowed to never speak of Lila again and pretend that she never existed.

Like, if almost every woman capable of pregnancy in Paris got pregnant (which is almost 1 million people, not counting the tourists or people there for business or school purposes), Abortion clinics would be incredibly overtaxed. And even then, they'd probably focus on the people who would be in danger or at high risk in their pregnancies first, before anyone else, and would only be able to let in a very limited number of people per day after that. (It's unlikely that any single place has the resources to deal with a million people very quickly.) Meanwhile, Morning After and other Plan B medicines would be flying off the shelves, and everyone would be scrambling to get at them-even going so far as to leave Paris, or even leave France entirely to get them from the rest of Europe.
