WMG / Afterlife with Archie

Go To

The finale will involve time-travel

  • Now, hear me out. Sabrina will somehow travel back to the day Reggie took that fateful drive. She'll arrive a few hours earlier and, let's say, slash his tires so he can't take his car out. Satisfied, she'll return to the present at her house, where her aunts, having deduced that she's misused her powers (I'm willing to bet that time-travel is forbidden as well), will seal her powers (she'd get them back by preventing her being sent away in the original timeline) and send her away. Meanwhile, as Reggie mourns his car, Hot Dog will run into the street again and (since the universe has a way of correcting itself) be hit by... Archie. Bam! Double Subversion! But with Sabrina sent away, Sabrina can't help Jughead resurrect Hot Dog, thus preventing the apocalypse after all. Bam! Triple Subversion! Archie and Jughead's relationship will suffer, but at least the world won't end.

Despite the title of the second arc, Betty will not die

  • Though the second story arc is called "Betty: RIP", I think the end result will be the death of her old personality (the girl next door) and her rebirth into something else: a battle-hardened survivor, a bitter young woman, something. What that is remains to be seen.
    • Alternatively, with Kevin telling Archie how'd he would take a bullet for him after being named the replacement best man after a mentally unstable Reggie leaves the group. With that in mind, Reggie, now with the promise of Midge being his love slave if he kills Betty for a possessed Sabrina, Kevin himself might be the one to bite the bullet to save Betty.
      • One possible outcome now that the nature of Josie and the Pussycats has been revealed is that Betty could become a vampire.

Scarlet and the vampires from Archies Weird Mysteries will make an appearance

Possibly in a different town, taking occupations as zombie hunters and turning others to stop the hordes of zombies.

Hermione Lodge in Hiram Lodge's dream was actually her trying to talk with him

She wanted to warn Hiram about what was to come and convince him to find a safer place than the easily noticed Lodge Manor. However, due to the spell causing the Zombie Apocalypse, her attempts were distorted and she manifested as a zombie in his dream and couldn't give her actual message.

The last issue will have the survivors go back to Riverdale for a Final Battle with Jughead and the zombies.

Archie, as usual, will formulate a plan to stop the zombie apocalypse. And as part of that plan, he and most of the survivors will have to return to Riverdale and attack the infected townsfolk head-on, or at least act as a distraction. Likely we'll end up seeing one-on-one interactions when Archie meets the zombified versions of people and animals he knew, and most likely end with an "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight with Jughead.
  • The fight may also be when they encounter and learn the true nature of Josie and the Pussycats.

Angels and demons will show up in later issues.
To keep up with the afterlife theme.

The reason why this comic’s world fell apart is because there were multiple patient zeroes (off-panel) in each country.

This world’s version of Jughead would have tried to kill Veronica even without zombification.
