Marco's Avia Pox...
ALEXIOS! I know it's you, ya sneaky little prick!
  • Consider that Marco falls ill not only as he is eating but also outside of the palace. By circumstance, security is going to be laxer than in such a controlled environment. Alexios was acting really shifty upon seeing Marco miraculously recovering, then immediately asking if anyone else knows if Marco is up and about. (Really thought Alexios would pull a knife and finish the job at that point) Also - according to the sequel, Khemia - the pox Marco contacted is considered more potent than usually known - patient is still infectious post recovery.
    • So, Marco falls ill whilst eating in a less secure location. Alexios is shocked to see him recover and asks who else knows. Finally, the pox seems to engineered to appear dormant when it is in fact contagious. Who is on a mission from his government to cause chaos? Hmm...
      • Jossed. It's confirmed by Amicus that it's a normally mild common infection. But whether Alexios was responsible for sending the sick little girl to him or not remains unknown.
The parents allowed Cassius's suffering all these years.
  • The monitor is all but confirmed to hold Cassius in contempt, calling him false emperor, and was having fun terrifying the poor guy. It stands to reason, therefore, that the parents have made it their life mission to torment him just for existing.
    • The Parents are more hands off when it comes to Sibling's affairs unless it it absolutely necessary. They only enabled the Monitor tormenting Cassius if the latter tries to contact them.
Neferu will become Pharaoh of Khemia at some point in the story.
Neferu, the unfavored son, will become Pharaoh of Khemia through some sort of circumstance. Perhaps his family is massacred? Or he beats his siblings in a contest, akin to how Amicus becomes emperor?
The illusion Marco sees in the good ending of Adastra is a lie concocted by the parents.
  • Meaning that the Meera ending is the correct one.
The Parents are the players.
  • Which would explain why they have knowledge of the future.
The Parents are the video game developers.
  • That is another variation to the Parents are the players theory. If they are developers, then they know the ins and outs of the game.
WMG: Cato intends for Adastra to be destroyed.
  • There is a good chance that Cato assumed Adastra had gone to a direction he doesn't like and decided in a twisted sense that he would do a mercy killing for his planet. The seeds of his opinion and plan could had started with Amicus's father banishing Tricelli Triumvir and his family to and that latter's tenure was being too progressive for the advisor's tastes.
Emperor Potes likely did not know the severity on the attack of Deshereth
  • It is likely Emperor Potes did not know Cato and his army attacked Deshereth using chemical weapons and destroying civilian areas. He probably learned this event too late or never found out about it.
