Moving the lack of Steel-type moves to its own bullet as the previous one is about the advantages of Psychic-types who are resisted by Steel-types but not weak against their moves.

** Improved in comparison to the Gen. I versions, but the Psychic-type still has a tremendous advantage owing in large part due to the sheer lack of DarkThe player can trade for a Dark-type Alolan Grimer or Alolan Rattata, but no NPC trainers use one. and Steel-typeOnly the Magnemite line gains the typing of the original 151, while the new Meltan line is player-exclusive. Furthermore, while the player can trade for a Steel-type Alolan Diglett or Alolan Sandshrew, there's only two damaging Steel-type moves in the entire game: Flash Cannon and Iron Tail. Alolan Diglett cannot learn Iron Tail while Flash Cannon runs off its inferior Special Attack. Meanwhile, Alolan Sandshrew cannot learn Flash Cannon and, although it can learn the powerful Iron Tail, the move itself has mediocre accuracy. Plus, there's the fact that Alolan Sandshrew is exclusive to Let's Go, Pikachu!. Pokémon. Further, while more and better Ghost-type moves are present, the only Ghost-type line (Gastly) is part-Poison and thus weak to Psychic type moves. A good Psychic-type Pokémon can still run roughshod over most of the game, with only the odd Dark or Ghost-type move being used to worry about.

* Superboss: After becoming champion, you can seek out and battle Blue (having taken over as Viridian City Gym Leader), Green (encountered in Cerulean Cave after catching Mewtwo), and Red (encountered outside of Victory Road once you've beatned six "Master Trainers"). Each have full, balanced, powerful teams that could easily wipe the floor with the Elite Four and Champion, making for challenging fights.

* UniquenessDecay: Many Pokémon that originally (taking VideoGame/PokemonYellow as a base) had only one available per save file can now be obtained in unlimited numbers, including Pikachu and Eevee in both versions (Pikachu could be found in the wild in Red and Blue, but not Yellow), as well as spoiler:Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Lapras, Snorlax, Hitmonlee, and Hitmonchan. Even the legendary birds can appear randomly in the wild after you catch the in-game event ones, though they're extremely rare. Others, like Chansey, are simply much more common than usual. This is partly because the ability to import catches from VideoGame/PokemonGo makes it somewhat futile to try to limit players' access to rare or "unique" creatures.
