Nightmares on Wax is an Adobe Flash video game by Tiny Mania released in 2008. In it, you play as a small silver ball and steer it through 30 levels, each one of them taking place on a blob of colored wax. Collect stars, but watch out for bumpers and arrow tiles that make you go back to the previous level, and don't fall off. The game seemingly also comes with music by the musician Nightmares on Wax from the album Thought So, with the option to cycle through tracks, but nothing can ultimately be heard.

This game provides examples of:

  • 100% Completion: To beat the game fully, you must collect all stars scattered through the levels, leading to the maximum possible score of 21650.
  • 1-Up: An icon with a red plus gives you an extra life. These icons become scarce later on, though.
  • Level Goal: Each level ends when you reach fall down a small circular hole in the blob of wax.
  • No Plot? No Problem!: No plot is provided in the instructions or anywhere else.
  • Scoring Points: You earn 100 points when you pick up a star and 250 points when you finish a level for the first time.
  • The Very Definitely Final Dungeon: Level 30 is obviously the last one. There are no levels below it, it's purple, and it has the most difficult physics out of all of them.
  • A Winner Is You: All you get for winning the game is one "Game Complete!" screen and the ability to submit your score.
