To The End Of The World
(Chinese: 直到世界尽头; "Zhi Dao Shijie Jintou") is a Game Mod for Imperator: Rome. Besides various balances, the mod expands the world map to include much of north and northeast Asia.
The highlight of the map expansion is (of course) China. At 304 BCE, the Warring States Era is underway in the region, and seven states vie for hegemony: Qin, Chu, Qi, Yan, Han, Zhao and Wei. By this time, the Zhou dynasty was well on its way towards irrelevance.
Currently, the mod is only available in Chinese, but the author has promised an English version once the mod is deemed complete. The expanded map is also used in the Terra Indomita mod.
This mod provides examples of the following tropes:
- I Have Many Names: This applies to the Chinese kings who are more widely known by their posthumous names. In-game, since they are not dead, they are addressed by their real names. Examples include Ying Ji (King Zhaoxiang of Qin), and Ying Yong (King Wuling of Zhao).
- Imperial China: Well, pre-Imperial. Historically, China's imperial era began about 83 years after the start date, with Qin conquering the other states.
