* BonusBoss:
** Super Overlord Baal returns, but unlike previous entries, he was not included in the base game; he was later added via a free update. ''Complete'' does have him in the base game, however.
** The Item World has [[VideoGame/ZettaiHeroProject Proto Darkdeath]], who can randomly spawn as a rare enemy from Mr. Egg. He has absurd stats that far exceed your own until you have close-to-maxed characters, but you can score a great training bonus for your Item if you can kill him.
** The post-game, as per tradition, has one. It's [[spoiler:Carnage Overlord Prinny.]] Level 2000 by default, has stats that approach ''300000'', exceeds 10,000,000 HP, and packs some insane Evilities, but whoever can kill him unlocks a Unique Evility Slot for the trouble.
** For reasons unknown, the final chapter's boss, [[spoiler: Liezerota Dark]], can be revisited, although they have gained a severe level increase in the interim, going from Level 120 to 3600. Fighting them in the Carnage Dimension has them maxed out at Level 9999, with near maxed out stats and HP for good measure.
** Another post-game boss is unlocked through the Quest Shop, by clearing the Carnage Dimension's unique stages. [[spoiler: Void's Disembodied Malice]] makes its return, and until Baal was added in the base game, was the final challenge. Being that it was found in the Carnage Dimension, it had a few billion HP, around 30 million in all stats, had fodder units backing it up, couldn't have its gear stolen, is in permanent Revenge Mode, and as the cherry on top, [[spoiler: makes use of the Overload skills Void stole throughout the campaign.]] Defeating this foe granted the player their last Unique Evility Slot, alongside Eclipse Power.

* EasyLevelTrick: You can cheese the post-game's BonusBoss by [[spoiler:throwing a Prinny at him to cause a chain reaction]], but you will not get the reward for killing it this way.

* RatedMForManly: Notably in contrast to [[VideoGame/DisgaeaD2 the previous game]] which only had one major male party member, the majority of the cast of this game are buff martial artists.

Removing outdated Five Man Band tree

* FiveManBand: By far the most straightforward and conventional example of one in the series, They even join in descending order!:
** TheLeader: Killia, the main protagonist and the rebel army's strongest fighter. While he's a loner who attempts to push the rest of the group away from him at the beginning of the game, he steadily becomes the force that binds them all together and leads them to victory.
** TheLancer: Seraphina, the flighty, spoiled and selfish princess to contrast Killia's stoic and humble wanderer. While the rebel army is based in her personal pocket Netherworld, she generally defers to Killia as a leader.
** TheBigGuy: Red Magnus, a large, [[BloodKnight battle-obsessed]] demon [[DumbMuscle who always leaps first and asks questions later]]. He is suggested to be the group's second strongest fighter after Killia, shares a [[FriendlyRival good-natured rivalry]] with him and possesses the power to grow his body to titanic proportions.
** TheSmartGuy: Christo, the cold and calculating strategist who prefers fighting at a distance and supporting his allies over direct combat. His Overload allows him to [[EnemyScan scan the power levels and abilities of his opponents]] to assist in preparing counter-strategies against them. Notably, the rebel army only formally becomes an army once he joins it, as he is the only member of the party to possess the administrative competence needed to effectively organize one.
** TheChick: Usalia, the kindhearted and friendly princess of Toto Bunny, a peaceful and pacifistic Netherworld. While the rest of the team tend to butt heads with each other, she has a positive relationship with each of its members and assists in helping them get along better with each other. She also suffers from an extremely dangerous curse which causes the rest of the party to frequently show concern for her health and safety.
** TheSixthRanger: Zeroken, the hot-headed and brash young warrior who practices the same martial art as Killia. While he fights against the Lost from the beginning, he initially looks down on the rebel army as being a group of weaklings and refuses to join it until he is forced to after the enemy becomes too difficult for him to fight on his own. After joining the rebel army, he forms a close BashBrothers relationship with Killia and becomes an indispensable ally in defeating TheDragon.
