Brian

Brian himself is desperately trying to convince everyone that he isn't the messiah, but the crowd of followers aren't having it, asking for miracles and signs. One asks for food because he and the rest of the "disciples" are hungry. Brian points to a nearby juniper bush that's been there the whole time, and the crowd think he miraculously made it appear and produce juniper berries. A blind man gets touched and loudly shrieks that he's been healed and can see (he can't), and the crowd erupt. An old hermit loudly complains that he hadn't spoken a word in eighteen years until Brian came along (he fails to note that it was because of a vow of silence), and the crowd believe he made the mute speak.
