Under the American assumption that ponies are a breed only affordable to rich snobs, Seinfeld declares that he'd "hate anyone who'd ever owned a pony". This offends his aunt, who used to own a pony back in Poland, a country where, as Seinfeld begs to argue, they probably were a lot more commonplace.
