I remember when I first heard about TV Tropes. It was at the worst of the "Annoyance Era" or whatever drove many of the people forever away from this place. At first, I paid no mind to it, going back to my daily activities that I was doing at the time, quickly forgetting about TV Tropes in the first place. I didn't care for it at all for the entirety of my high school career.
It wasn't until the summer of 2014 when I stumbled upon TV Tropes. Maybe I learned about it from some comment somewhere. Maybe I discovered it looking up some show that I liked. I am not quite so sure at the time. As with the other websites I joined within the past three years, I spent some time as an anonymous schmuck browsing around, looking up information for the heck of it. Since then, I discovered many stories that I became interested in, and even throwing some dosh around left and right to purchase some of these interesting books, movies, and so on. Hey, ask me three years ago what Pokeumans was, I would've shook my head and quickly forgot about my time-traveling shenanigans of future me and probably chalked it up to high school stress-induced hallucinations for some reason or another.
So anyway, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm a person. Yeah, that's a major plot twist. I mean, does anyone self-identify as something other than human? *Looks at Tumblr for more than two minutes* Wait, Otherkin is a concept that exists? Well, you learn something new every day. At least I don't have depression or have any sort of physical issue that I know of, and I am thankful for that. Otherwise, I'm an average dude from the US state that has a geyser and loads of drunk drivers called Wyoming. Don't worry, though; I don't drink and trope.note
