I read almost freaking ANYTHING, watch anime, TV, and have personally witnessed at least one instance of every trope I've ever read on here...if my memory still works correctly.

- 10: the Horatio Hornblower series - high seas warfare at its finest.
- 9: Without Remorse - Tom Clancy's work regarding the origins of John Clark, a Badass if there ever was one.
- 8: the Phillip Mercer series - let it not be said geologists couldn't kick ass here and there.
- 7: The Hunt for Red October - Tom Clancy's best work.
- 6: Lord Of The Rings - all three books.
- 5: The Tales of the Otori series - medieval Japan, without all of the historical background.
- 4: Umberto Eco's The Name of the Rose - great book, HORRIBLE movie.
- 3: The Count Of Monte Cristo - a victim of repeated Adaptation Decay.
- 2: Hellboy - technically, this isn't a book series per se, but since I don't read much in the way of comic books...
- 1: The Dresden Files - I invoke the series because the books themselves would take up over half to list if I used the individual books.
Top 10 Favorite Anime Shows:
- 10: Gankutsuou - an AMAZING animated adaptation of a classic.
- 9: School Rumble - you've not seen a high school love comedy until you've seen this. Trust me.
- 8: CLANNAD - which may rank higher, or disappear from the list depending on the rest of the series.
- 7: Iria the Animation - a show that has been summarized as the anime equivalent of Terminator.
- 6: ARIA - all seaons. A simple, feel-good show.
- 5: Gundam SEED - my favorite mecha show where I can just sit back and say, "Oo, look at the pretty weapons of war...and not have to worry about random, pesky things like plot and character development
- 4: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha - which would occupy the #2 slot if it weren't for the atrocity that was the third season.
- 3: Avatar The Last Airbender - everything that American animation COULD be, but isn't 'cause of idotic network directors.
- 2: Kanon - now if someone had the sense to port the game...
- 1: Visionof Escaflowne - despite the ending which SCREAMS sequel.
Yes, Neon Genesis Evangelion isn't there, people - and it's never going to be. GET OVER IT.
Top 10 Favorite Live Action TV Shows:
- 10: Space Above And Beyond - which turned out pretty well, considering that FOX executives, in all their infinite wisdom, deciding to cancel after 1 season.
- 9: Law And Order Criminal Intent - the show equals Vincent D'Onofrio. Without him, there'd be no show.
- 8: House - which dropped from the #3 slot after the end of Season 3 and the revelations that House has taken the Jerkass bit WAAAY too far.
- 7: Kamen Rider Den O - ORE! SANJOU!
- 6: Law And Order Special Victims Unit - was #4, but dropped after they decided to stop giving Munch dialogue.
- 5: Ultraman Nexus - What Do You Mean, It's Not Awesome?!
- 4: Firefly - damn you, FOX, DAMN YOU TO HELL!
- 3: NCIS - which is, more or less, all about how awesome Gibbs, Ducky, and Abby are - and how moronic everyone ELSE is.
- 2: Doctor Who - David Tennant is THE MAN.
- 1: Law And Order - which DOES NOT EXIST before or after Lennie Briscoe. Period..
