Once upon a time, there was a person who got on the internet. He drew a bad comic strip, and refered to himself by the strip's main character, Nike Young.
Later on, when he was chatting with friends over IRC, they started to change I's with Y's. Well, this person liked the new name and so the "Y" became permanent.
