Fun facts about me and other stuff:

  • I hate Haruhi Suzumiya. I've only ever wathced the 1st season of the anime and I haven't read any of the light novels, and the anime wasn't even all that bad. Something about Haruhi still pisses me off. (I still wish I could be a god like she is.)
  • I like pineapples.
  • There are a lot of foods that affect the taste of your seminal or vaginal fluids, but pineapple is one of the strongest. Eating a lot of pineapple makes you taste sweeter, and less ‘fishy’.
  • I liked pineapple long before I knew that.
  • I'm rather shy.
  • My favourite colour is red but most think it's black. That might have something to do with the fact that almost all my clothes are black.
  • Almost all my clothes are black.
  • I'm red-green colour blind
  • My favourite Pokémon is Shaymin.
    • My favourite non-legendary Pokémon is Shinx.
    • My favourite non-legendary fully evolved Pokémon is Gallade.
    • My favourite non-legendary 2nd stage evolution that is part of 3 stage evolutionary family is Pikachu.
      • While this may seem like Overly Narrow Superlative to uneducated readers, 79 out of 649 Pokémon (as of generation V) fit in this category.
  • I have beaten Penance in Final Fantasy X.
  • Every time I play Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky (one of my favourite games of all time) I always make sure that my starter pokémon and my partner are opposite gender and that they belong in the same egg group so that they could, in theory, breed. (and yes, I know this makes me incredibly geeky)
    • So far the best combination like that I've found is that I'm male Shinx and my partner is female Vulpix.(or vice versa but I never play as female in Pokémon games)
  • I like having the only light source in otherwise dark environment. Like for example having lights on in my room while it's dark outside as far as I can see. It doesn't even really matter that there's obviously quite a few other sources of light out there as long as they're not used in a way I could see them.

    Secrets
  • They wouldn't be secrets if I told you now, would they?

    Tropes I don't like
Here I'm gonna list some tropes I don't like and the reason I don't like them.

  • Sean Connery Is About to Shoot You - I don't like this for three reasons. First of all, the name is stupid. Sean Connery is not the only one to do this and it's not always shooting either, it can also be punching or other kinds of attacks. One of the re-directs "Target The Audience" is much better. Second of all, more often than not it's not a story telling device but simply a way for the character to look "cool". And lastly, most of the examples are X Just X. This is almost enough to take it to TRS but I'm too lazy and there's a risk that people will disagree with me so I'm not gonna do that.
  • "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight - In this case there's nothing wrong with the trope. It is a good trope and has good examples. The problem here is that the name is annoyingly long, but then again, I can't come up with anything better so...
  • Dethroning Moment of Suck - My problem with this one is fairly obvious. I don't like other people bashing shows especially when I'm not allowed to tell them that they've misunderstood the point of the moment they chose and if they understood it they'd realize it's not really dethroning at all, but since it's in Darth Wiki and all I guess I shouldn't complain.
    • I guess I should mention that I have no problem with this when I don't like the work in question so I guess that makes me a bit of a hypocrite.
  • Real Song Theme Tune - This is another case of bad name. All theme tunes are real songs regardless of whether or not the song was created for the purpose of the show. I also don't think it's really necessary. Origin of the theme tune really has nothing to do with anything.
  • Wangst - Again nothing wrong with the trope in theory. The problem comes with what people think of as wangst, because apparently wangst is 3 times more common than angst, which means almost no one can write angst properly or people here just have very low tolerance for it and I personally think the latter is more likely.
  • Rei Ayanami Expy - This one is easy. I hate Rei Ayanami but I like some of the expys (mainly Yin from Darker Than Black and now also Kagari from Rewrite) so of course I don't like it when someone compares them to Rei.
  • Unfortunate Implication - Again easy. This trope is pretty much people taking offence on something no one meant as offensive, most likely didn't even think about it at all.
  • Fan-Preferred Couple because all too often I like the Official Couple more than the fan preferred one and it annoys me how majority of the fans are wrong. Also, I'm a fan but I rarely prefer the "fan preferred" couple so the name's bad too. Of course that's just silly and I don't actually think it needs a name change.
    • There is an exception to this though. In series where there are no official couples, I quite often agree with the fan preferred one. As an example, in Pokémon Special I ship Red and Yellow

    My Top n Favourite Books
As you probably guessed this folder is for my favourite books. I'm not sure how many there's gonna be so and that's why it's "Top n". Also, they're not gonna be in any particular order and more often than not there's not gonna be any reasons why I like them for now at least. But anyway, here we go:

  • The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy "trilogy" but not the 6th book by Eoin Colfer. It wasn't exactly bad, but it simply wasn't as good as the others. Also why did he have to introduce the weird Irish dude (the name of whom I've already forgotten, but after checking I found out it's apparently Hillman Hunter) and expect me to care about him. When I'm reading The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy I want to read about Arthur and Ford and Zaphod and Trillian, not some stupid Irish guy.
    • I would like to point out that I didn't hate And Another Thing... before reading it. I gave it a fair chance because I thought that Eoin Colfer would be one of the best picks to write it, only ones better in my opinion would have been Neil Gaiman and/or Terry Pratchett. Of course that only made me more disappointed when the book wasn't all that good.
      • and one more thing, although this one's very nitpicky. If I recall correctly, Eoin Colfer referred the Hooloovoo as super intelligent blue energy beings, which is just wrong. They're not energy beings, it's the shade of blue itself that is super intelligent. I admit that I might be wrong, or that I'm right but it was translation error since I've only read the book in finnish, but if so, just disregard this bullet point.
  • Airman. Eoin Colfer can write, it's only the And Another Thing that I don't like.
  • Abarat series
  • A Series of Unfortunate Events and its supplementary materials. The film sucked though.
  • Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince, and the other Harry Potter books. The 6th one just happens to be my favourite. I've noticed that no one seems to agree with me on this.
  • Good Omens If this was more traditional top list, this would probably be first or second, or at least very close to the top.
  • The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit and Silmarillion and almost everything middle earth related by JRR Tolkien
  • The Graveyard Book So I finally finished reading this and I actually had to start it again from the beginning because I wasn't quite sure where I was going. In any case, it was an excellent book with probably the saddest ending, that was not particularly unhappy, I've ever read.
  • Citizen Of The Galaxy which now has a proper page here, which makes me somewhat happy.
  • Enders Game and also Ender's Shadow, but out of these two Enders Game is better, probably because I like Ender more than Bean.
  • The Dandelion Girl. It's not actually a book, just a short story, but this is my list so decide what I can and cannot have in it, and I love this story.
"Day before yesterday I saw a rabbit, and yesterday a deer, and today, you."
  • The Redemption Of Althalus I can't believe I almost forgot this one. This is another candidate for my all time favourite book.
  • Disney comics by Don Rosa. Not sure if people usually consider comics books, but again, this is my list so I make the rules, and I own 6 of the 9 books (the last 3 haven't been published yet but I pre-ordered the whole set, which is the only way one can get it other than buying from someone who pre-ordered it) of ultimate Don Rosa collection that has all the Disney comics he has ever made and some extra stuff, and they're obviously books.
  • The Rook. Can't wait for the sequel.
  • Enchanted Forest Chronicles. Had pretty much forgotten about this but then I picked up the first book while visiting the library. Great books anyways.
  • Light novels count as books too, obviously, so I can add Sword Art Online to the list. While some volumes are better than others I can't be bothered to decide which ones so everything's good.
  • Novel is type of book, and that's why Visual Novels should count too, so this one gives us Rewrite. The best of Key's visual novels so far in my opinion.

There will be more later. It's surprisingly hard trying to remember all the books you've read.
