• Inspiration for the Work: King originally wasn't interested in writing Wonder Woman, finding the character too challenging. However he felt indirectly challenged when at George Pérez's funeral a pre-recorded video of Perez stated he thought his Wonder Woman run was the greatest accomplishment of his career because how of no one at DC in the 80s was interested in writing the character.
