• What Could Have Been: Originally, Andrew Divoff, who played the Djinn in the first two movies, wrote the screenplay for the third part, and it was supposed to be a lot more elaborate, featuring gargoyles coming to life, a terrorist plot, and being set just prior to the Y2K. His screenplay was ultimately scrapped due to the lack of budget required for the special effects, but certain elements from it — such as the Kris sword wielded by the Archangel Michael — were recycled and ended up being used in the movie.
