• Creator Backlash: George Perez wasn't happy with the final version of the story, saying he doesn't stand by it. In addition to hampering certain storylines, he believed DC wasn't doing enough to promote it (or Wonder Woman's then 50th anniversary) and favored the other company Crisis Crossover at the time, Armageddon 2001. As a result, Perez ended his relationship with DC for many years following his departure from the Wonder Woman book.
