• Career Resurrection: Marc was part of the vanguard during the rise of edgier comedy in 1980s and 1990s. But substance-abuse issues, bad career choices, and a generally abrasive attitude limited him to the club circuit. The success of this podcast exposed him to a wider audience and he started appearing in everything from dramas, sitcoms, and family movies.
• Doing It for the Art: The podcast's early days were an unsure time but producer Brendan McDonald pushed for Marc to stick with it as he felt that the podcast format would eventually take off and become a major media landscape.
• In Memoriam: When someone he's interviewed passes away, Marc will repost the relevant episode on the free section of his website and other podcasting services. These will feature new introductions where Marc reflects on the who the person was and provide context of what was going on at the time the interview took place.
• Milestone Celebration: The 1000th episode was an extra long edition where Marc sat down with Brendan McDonald, his producer, to talk about the genesis of the podcast and the struggles they went through to turn it into a success.
