  • Enforced Method Acting: As noted below, many of the fight scenes were (allegedly) not staged — they simply filmed the cast inflicting actual beatdowns on the extras.
  • Troubled Production: These were more or less the rule at the production company Cinestate, and this film was no exception. One costume designer quit her job due to sexual harassment from Fred Williamson, and the producers recommending in response that female crew members adopt a "buddy system" when working with Williamson rather than telling him to stop. Three crew members wound up leaving the film industry entirely due to their experience. There was also an especially brutal case of Enforced Method Acting where they shot the fight scenes in the film by simply having the actors beat the crap out of the extras for real, a glaring no-no on the set of any film that isn't a combat sport documentary or a Professional Wrestling production due to the risk of serious injury.
