- By the author's admission, the fic was supposed to be an one-shot ending at the first chapter.
- Edward's introduction in the fic happens when Haytham accidentally shown up on the Jackdaw. According to Word of God, Edward was supposed to be already informed about the time travelling. However, what ended up happening was the incident being a catalyst for Edward to stop blocking Altair so he could get answers from him.
