• Prop Recycling: Ratchet's test engine in the Cold Open was also Jack's science project back in Masters and Students.
• What Could Have Been: According to Mairgrhead Scott, the first draft of this episode had a line during the scene where Ratchet berates Optimus for his perceived inaction against Megatron which implied Elita One had died during the war and he was blaming Optimus for it. Causing an enraged Prime to punch Ratchet. The line and punch were cut, as the story editor thought it would have been out-of-character for Optimus and limited storytelling potential by locking such an important past event in during the first season of the show.
