Trivia / Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Go To

  • Advertised Extra: Jewel and Michael Crawford receive top billing in The Ghosts of Christmas Eve despite the fact that they only perform one song each and never show up again afterwards.
  • Outlived Its Creator: The band has continued, at least as a touring act, after the death of founder and songwriter Paul O'Neill in 2017, though there is still no word on whether or not the band will make any albums without him.
  • Production Posse: Many of the band members are from the heavy metal band Savatage.
  • Referenced by...: The Astonishing, a concept album by Dream Theater, takes place in a dystopian future where music is no longer made by men. At one point in the album's novelization, Faythe mentions that she's been listening to Christmas music by a group once known as Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
  • Schedule Slip: Thanks to the composers being total perfectionists, Night Castle was delayed for three years. That's nothing compared to the fact that the stage show based on Beethoven's Last Night was delayed for nearly a decade thanks to said perfectionism.
