• Referenced by...: in Ready Player One, the hero Parzival discovers that Halliday created a copy of the tomb on the school-planet Ludus, and it is here that the Copper Key is hidden. Its brutal difficulty is Lampshaded In-Universe, but ultimately Averted—since it is an exact replica of the original module, Parzival was able to just read a copy of the book and learn the entire dungeon. Despite being an incredibly low-level character, he passes through scot-free (with a massive amount of treasure to boot). To obtain the Key one has to navigate the tomb, and beat the demilich Acererak at a game of Joust.
