Trivia / The X-Files S01 E09 "Space"

• Creator Backlash: Chris Carter hates the episode just as much as anybody who's ever had to sit through it. It's routinely ranked as one of the worst episodes of the series, even when taking the last few seasons into account.
• Troubled Production: It was the most expensive episode of the season thanks to the construction of a NASA Mission Control set. Production was also delayed so that the crew could take turns with a flight simulator.
