• Development Gag:
  • Dallen eating oreos and skittles at the movie shoot is a reference to what the creators say would happen at their movie shoots.
  • Jonathan's movie producers say they have 15 minutes of tape because of an "overused montage with french horns, bassoons."
• Making Use of the Twin: Dallen is played by Kirby Heyborne, so Actor!Dallen is played by his twin.
• No Budget: In the DVD commentary, the creators joke about how small their budget was. In many cases the price tags are still visible on the props so they could return them.
• Word of God: Those three guys Dallen runs by while he's going to Christine's apartment? Those are the Three Nephites from The Book of Mormon.
