• Defictionalization: An actual TripAdvisor page was made for Dwight's farm after the episode aired. It had two reviews, one being the glowing review from Jim and Pam, and another scathing review from an anonymous account that was clearly meant to be Angela.
• Serendipity Writes the Plot: Originally, Michael was supposed to rip up his dollar bill to prove he doesn't have any money problems. Then the crew learned that it's against federal law to deface US currency to the point it's rendered useless so they changed it to Michael crumpling it up and putting it back in his pocket. Everyone agreed the change made the scene funnier.
