Trivia / The Little Princess (1939)

• I Am Not Spock: Marcia Mae Jones, who played Lavinia, received a massive amount of hate mail over how cruel Lavinia was to Sara.
• Those Two Actors: Shirley Temple and Marcia Mae Jones both starred in this and also in an adaptation of Heidi as Heidi and Klara, respectively.
• What Could Have Been: In the 1939 film they planned to use a monkey for the scene where an animal goes into Sara's room off Ram Dass's shoulder. The monkey didn't seem to like Shirley Temple and kept trying to bite her, so they used a parrot instead.
