• Billing Displacement: Despite being top-billed in the film, Christopher Lee's performance is almost entirely confined to the last 35 minutes of the film, with only one very brief scene prior to that.
• Fatal Method Acting: Averted. Prudence Hyman was nearly decapitated for real. She was supposed to duck when Christopher Lee swung the sword but forgot to do so at the critical moment. The assistant director pushed her aside just in time. The scene was then redone with a dummy.
