Moving to YMMV

* IKnewIt: Yet several fans still guessed that Zoom was going to be a version of this Jay Garrick/Hunter Zolomon.

Jossed is a YMMV Definition Only Page now. Deleting examples, fan theories that are in objective pages - they need to go on YMMV pages - and moving these about a specific fan work to Outdated By Canon

* {{Jossed}}: After toying a bit with the people who suspect Earth-1 Caitlin could also become Killer Frost, the episode puts the theory to bed.
** Not to mention most of the fan theories about Zoom's true identity.
*** [[spoiler: Although subverted when Earth-1 Caitlin ''does'' eventually become Killer Frost]].

* LyingCreator: After saying that [[NotHisSled Zoom would not be Hunter Zolomon]], this episode had executive producer Andrew Kriesberg [[http://www.ew.com/article/2016/02/23/flash-zoom-identity-jay-garrick-hunter-zolomon deliberately call him that]].

* RecycledScript: In Season One, we are introduced to Dr. Harrison Wells. However, in the second half of the season he's revealed to in fact be Professor Eobard Thawne, aka the Reverse-Flash, aka the man in the yellow suit who ''killed Barry's mother''. Faux-Wells becomes a sort of mentor figure to Barry, and fakes not having Speed Force potential by rolling around in a wheelchair, but sometimes leaks details about the Speed Force that he shouldn't know. He also had the ability to create "speed mirages" to fool everyone into thinking he and Reverse-Flash were different people. Come Season Two, Thawne dies and we are introduced to yet another mentor for Barry, Jay Garrick (the Flash of Earth-2). He arrives to warn Barry about an incoming threat in the form of Zoom, an evil speedster who is Jay's arch-nemesis who steals speed (as he apparently did with Jay). Throughout the season, he is shown to have no Speed Force potential in his blood, rendering him powerless thanks to Zoom's machinations. In the previous episode, we see Zoom's arm go right through Jay just before the main breach closes, pulling him in as it does so. In this episode (which just happens to be in the second half of the season), Zoom dumps Jay's body in his makeshift prison, and finally pulls his mask off, revealed to be...someone who looks and sounds a lot like Jay. [[WordOfGod Executive producer Andrew Kriesberg even admitted]] [[http://www.ew.com/article/2016/02/23/flash-zoom-identity-jay-garrick-hunter-zolomon it's practically the same]].
** Another worthy detail to note is that both Reverse-Flash and Zoom decidedly distort their voices to the point of being unrecognizable as their civilian identities. However, while the producers retained Tom Cavanagh and his voice for Reverse-Flash/Thawne, they hired Tony Todd to be CastAsAMask in order to further the mystery behind Zoom. For the most part, it was probably as shocking a WhamShot when Zoom revealed himself as it was for Thawne to reveal himself.
